Daffodils (Rehab & Facilitation Centre)
The first program developed by H2O, Daffodils involves rehabilitation for differently abled children primarily autistic children. The program initiated in 2012 provides therapy for the children uncovering hidden potential, motivating and helping them overcome their burdens to be active members of the society.
The sessions — including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech therapy, behavioural therapy, hydrotherapy, sensory integration therapy, music therapy, special education, pre-vocational training, vocational training and family counselling — are provided by professionals in the respective fields.
H2O will be adding reflexology therapy sessions for the children in the near future and is also looking to help children diagnosed with cerebral palsy, attention deficit hyper active disorder, post-polio residual paralysis and muscular dystrophy.
Daffodils operates out of two centres, the H2O Rehab and Facilitation Centre in Karyavattom and Pratidhi in Vazhathakad.
How you can be a part?
H2O is a non-profit organization and depends solely on the funds and donations it receives from kind souls. You can offer your support by donating Rs. 500 per child per session. We also need your help in improving existing facilities for our various therapy sessions. Our biggest concern is a good vehicle for transporting the children to and from our centres. We are in the process of raising funds for this vehicle.
We have special events crafted with corporates in mind which would easily come under their CSR initiatives. We urge corporates to reach out and join us as program partners or sponsor individual events like outings and study tours.
H2O’s long-term goal is to establish our own centre in an eco-friendly campus, equipped with all the facilities the children would need.
